Professional development workshops, talks, problem-solving and coaching sessions are tailored to meet specific staff, institution, and parent community needs. Staff development and support occur in the context of understanding the culture of the institution as well as that of the families served. Utilizing a coaching format, reflective work and practice occur in small and large groups or individually, as appropriate. Workshops qualify for professional development hours. Specially designed coursework qualifies for CEU credits. Developmental consultations for individual children take the form of observation, debriefing, and reflective practice discussion. I observe children in their natural school and home settings, discuss findings with staff and parents, and make recommendations. I design and facilitate parenting education and support groups for institutions' parent communities. These are tailored to the specific needs and interests of each group.
