I offer education and coaching to families and to professionals who educate and support them, as well as to their institutions. My parenting and professional development approach is unique is its focus on perspective-taking. Based on the mindful exploration and goal-setting of each client, group or institution, challenges are seen from a new angle. Together, we reflect on the meaning and function of children's behavior in context, regardless of age, as we explore each challenge through their lens. In my presentations and consultations, I empower professionals and parents to ask the right questions; observe with new eyes; practice empathy, curiosity, and creativity; and use their generosity of time, talent, and self to build strong relationships and effect positive change in learning and development. In our work together, I model these same qualities to integrate and analyze the information and wisdom you already carry, so new connections can emerge to inform your practice or parenting. My holistic approach is grounded in child development theory, with emphasis on culture and context, and is informed by the latest research in psychology, neuroscience, medicine, and nutrition.
